Our training is focused on

Our Programs
Our Multi-skilled Machine Operator Program takes 6 weeks of technical, soft skills and on the floor training. We have employers who will interview trainees upon completion of the training program and a community that walks the journey with our trainees
Our Quality Assurance Program equips our trainees with Quality Assurance skill From Fabric to shipment with US Military quality assurance procedure of MIL-STD-105e in 2 weeks. We have employers who will interview our trainees upon completion of the training program and a community that walks the journey with our trainees.
Our Computer Program consists of Basic Computer Skills(4 Weeks)and Advanced Computer Skills(8 weeks). Our programs take into account those who don't know how to use computers at all and just want to learn basics as well as those who are associated with office work and want to enhance their knowledge of computer technology.
Our Middle Management Program takes 2 weeks and equips middle managers with management, ethics, communication, and social responsibility skills. Our Program also has a community that walks the journey with our trainees.
Our Pattern Making & Grading Program equip our trainees with the ability to translate a basic idea for a garment into a real piece of apparel that fits the human body. The program is part-time and takes 6 months. We have employers who will interview our trainees upon completion of the training program and a community that walks the journey with our trainees.
Our K-YAN Program enhances all training sessions through the use of the K-YAN smart teaching device. The device turns any surface into an interactive classroom, enabling trainers to deliver lessons with visual aids, demonstrations, and multimedia content. This approach improves engagement, understanding, and participation across all skill areas. Trainees benefit from a more interactive and inclusive learning experience that prepares them for modern workplaces.

Rajeev Arora
Executive Director
Mr. Rajeev Arora is the Executive Director of Sainath Education Institute and a trade and investment expert with more than 42 years of experience in the textile, apparel, and manufacturing sectors. His work spans 24 African and 4 Asian countries, where he has advised governments and industry on industrial policy, investment promotion, and skills development.
He currently serves as Chair of the Dual Training Advisory Committee under Kenya’s State Department for TVET and as a Council Member at The Kisumu National Polytechnic, where he supports the advancement of Kenya’s dual training system.
Previously, he served as Executive Director of the African Cotton & Textile Industries Federation (ACTIF) and as Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Cooperatives, helping create over 17,000 jobs and attract USD 70 million in new investments.

Damaris Ndua
Program Director
Ms. Damaris Ndua has over 10 years of extensive local and international experience in program management, public and private sector partnership engagement, strategy development, fundraising, and grant management. Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing programs. Adept in building and steering effective teams to meet both organization and partner needs.

Pauline Mutugi
Technical Director
Has over 26 years technical experience in setting up quality standards, training & developing a strong production team. production management as well as overall factory management in the apparel manufacturing sector.

Benard Wirula
Master Trainer
Mr. Bernard Wafula Wirula is a certified tailor and master trainer with over 30 years of experience in the apparel industry. He has served as a production manager and supervisor in leading apparel companies including KTM, Rayshian Apparel, Upan Wasana, United Aryan, and Newide. At Sainath Education Institute, he works as a master trainer and trainer of trainers, equipping students and instructors in fashion and design. Bernard has trained across several TVET institutions such as Kabete National Polytechnic and Karen Technical Training Institute for the Deaf. He holds a Grade 2 Certificate from NITA and is an O-Level graduate.

Steve Okoth
Communications and Technical Support Consultant
Steve Okoth Odumbe is the Communications and Technical Support Consultant at Sainath Education Institute. He manages the organization’s website and digital platforms, ensuring timely updates, accurate information, and engaging content. Steve develops creative campaigns that highlight training programs, community stories, and institutional achievements. He also supports backend software and hardware operations for K-Yan devices used in schools, ensuring functionality and data reporting. With a background in communications and frontend development, Steve combines technical and creative expertise to strengthen Sainath’s visibility, promote digital learning, and enhance stakeholder engagement across Kenya and the East Africa region.
