Strengthening TVET Partnership for Youth Empowerment
On 18th February 2025, the Principle Secretary in the State Department of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), visited the Sainath Education Institute’s center at EPZ Plaza, Kitengela.
Dr. Muoria toured the institution and was briefed on the Institution’s dual training model that combines classroom instructions with hands-on industrial experience. She commended the institute’s effort ina dvancing technical educationa and promoting empoyability through practical, industry-focused programs.
The visit also created space for deeper discussions on collaboration between the State Department for TVET and Sainath Education Institute. Dr. Muoria reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding competency-based education and training (CBET) and supporting partnerships that align with labor market needs.
The engagement emphasized shared goals of improving skill relevance, promoting innovation, and creating stronger pathways to employment for Kenya’s youth.
